Lori Cornell

Cornell brings over twenty-five years of experience in public service, marketing, and communications to her new role as the Gazette’s owner, publisher, and editor-in-chief. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and her Master’s in Strategic Leadership from St. Bonaventure University’s School of Business. A native of Dunkirk, she began her career in Washington, D.C., and is especially proud of her service as a locally elected official, as well as her contributions in several city, county, and state-appointed positions. She now resides in Bemus Point with her husband, Chuck, and their four teenage sons—Benjamin, Nathaniel, Zachary, and Nicholas.

Stacey Hannon, a lifelong resident of Jamestown, brings decades of experience in marketing, sales, and information technology. She founded the Gazette in 2011 and guided the publication until her retirement in December 2023. Stacey and her husband, Mark, are proud parents of three grown children and doting grandparents to ten grandchildren.

Senior Graphic Designer

April Colburn has extensive experience as a graphic designer, specializing in print and promotional design. She studied fine arts at Eastern New Mexico University before earning her bachelor’s degree in graphic design and media arts from Southern New Hampshire University. Over the years, she has held multiple graphic design positions and operated her own freelance design business. Since 2019, she has served as an ad and layout designer for the Jamestown Gazette. April resides in Jamestown with her husband and their four sons.

Nick Trussalo

Senior Layout Artist

Nick Trussalo was born and raised in Jamestown. After graduating from Jamestown High School, he attended Kent State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Computer Design and Engineering Technology. Since then, he has held numerous graphic design positions and operated his own web design business. In 2013, he became the layout artist for the Jamestown Gazette, a role he continues to serve today. Nick lives in Jamestown with his wife and their two children.

Shannon Nixon has been a freelance writer for more than a decade and is excited to be part of the Gazette team. With a background in marketing, she is eager to contribute to the continued growth of Chautauqua County’s signature publication. Drawing on her experience as a nonprofit fundraiser and marketer, Shannon brings a unique perspective to the Gazette’s development. She is currently pursuing a psychology degree through Empire State College. In her free time, Shannon teaches and practices Muay Thai, travels often, and enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

Katrina Fuller balances a dynamic career in nonprofit work, focusing on democracy and ensuring every voice is heard, while pursuing her passion for storytelling, a craft she has honed for more than 11 years as both a freelance writer and, previously, a local reporter. She first cut her teeth in journalism with the CHQ Gazette (then the Jamestown Gazette) in 2011 and is thrilled to return to this cornerstone of community news. When she’s not chasing deadlines or championing civic engagement, Katrina can be found with her husband, their two amazing children, and a mischievous cat named Holland, always ready to share a good story, whether it’s destined for the paper or simply enjoyed over coffee.

Pat Locke discovered her passion for writing later in life, inspired by an invitation to create a blog for the Chautauqua Lake Pops concert series. She has since contributed as a guest writer for the Westfield Republican and maintains her own blog covering topics from A to Z. A graduate of Ripley Central School and Chamberlayne Junior College in Boston, MA, Pat also attended Adrian College in Adrian, MI, and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. She resides in Dewittville, NY, with her husband, Bill.

Rev. Luke Fodor

The Rev. Luke Fodor serves as Rector of St. Luke’s in Jamestown, Vicar at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, and Dean of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus deanery. He holds three graduate degrees from the University of Durham in England, New York University, and Bexley Hall Seminary in Columbus, OH. Luke moved to Jamestown from Long Island in 2014 with his wife, Willow, and their two sons, Aidan and Kieran, and has since dedicated himself to serving the community well beyond the walls of his church. When he is not engaged in ministry or leading community initiatives, he can often be found swimming in Chautauqua Lake, cycling, or training for his next triathlon or race. An accomplished endurance athlete, Luke has completed two Ironman-length triathlons—swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and running 26.2 miles.

Paul Leone

Writer, storyteller, and poet Paul Leone has been a prominent figure in the literary life of Chautauqua County for many years. He has performed and led workshops in storytelling venues throughout Western New York and is particularly passionate about poetry recitation, aiming to elevate it to an art form. Paul is currently completing a volume of sonnets in homage to Shakespeare and has served as an artist-in-residence teaching writing through the former Arts Council. The author of seven books, including the popular Chautauqua Ghosts, he is also the sole proprietor of the regional publishing company Chautauqua Region Press. Paul lives on Lakeview Avenue.

Jordan Nicholson was born and raised in Chautauqua County. After graduating from Chautauqua Lake High School, he earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from SUNY Fredonia. From 2014 to 2022, he served as the Western New York Regional Director for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and since 2022, he has been the Director of Community Relations at the University at Buffalo. Jordan currently lives in Tonawanda with his girlfriend, Sam, and their dog, Coleen.

A freelance transport expert, he has delivered for the Gazette, the Post-Journal, and several other local publications for more than fifteen years. Born in Erie County, he has proudly called Jamestown home for nearly three decades. Each Monday at the crack of dawn, he hits the road with steadfast dedication, delivering the Gazette to over 200 newsstands across more than thirty ZIP codes in the region while also managing the publication’s full distribution database. He is married to Desiree and is a devoted father to three school-aged children.

Marc Scapelitte

Webmaster / App Developer

Marc was born in Jamestown and returned in 1990 to be reunited with his extended family. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from SUNY Fredonia in 2002 and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Summa Cum Laude, in 2011. Marc works as a web and app developer and has taught mathematics at Jamestown High School, Ellicottville BOCES, and Southwestern High School. He currently teaches Computer Science and Mathematics at Jamestown Community College. In addition to his academic work, Marc is a mathematics and physics tutor, a percussionist in three local bands, and a Reiki practitioner at his wellness studio.
